HANDICAP DUATHLON -  Sun , 8th June 2008

What a great arvo of racing we had to kick off our Junior Duathlon's !
The rain stayed away and we were able to welcome 2 new athletes, Matthew and Lauren Parsons and witness some very close races.

Race 1 - It was Matthew Parsons who took the Podium on debut, and will find himself being heavily scrutinised by the Handicapper !  he was followed home by Olivia Luddington and her brother Tom.

Race 2 - Wow, this one had the crowd on their feet and cheering as Hayden Clifford led out Laura Owens and new girl Lauren Parsons onto the final 1km run, but the places never changed as Hayden gritted his teeth and held on to win and take the cash.

Congratulations go to the girl's for bettering their previous best - Laura [3:14!], Hannah [19secs]
and Olivia [21secs]   well done !
