As the name suggests the session will be at 6am every Saturday morning, the session will be aimed towards intermediate race level for adult club members. The weekly session will be varied and flexible determined by the weather, time of year and the racing goals of the members who regularly join these sessions, the session it will involve over time and at some point include swim, bike, and run, and sometimes all 3 or 2 disciplines in the same session.
The kick-off this week (November 28th) with a bike session, and we will meet just down from the club house, at Cronulla Station roundabout leaving sharp on 6am, so please look to arrive before 6am (corner of Laycock Avenue & Cronulla Street)
Safety and fun will be the key so please ensure you read the triathlon club bike pack rules.
We are starting with the bike as it the easiest way to get to know each other by talking and riding simultaneous. As mentioned the sessions will be aimed at intermediate level so prior bike pack experience is preferred but not mandatory, typically social pace of the group (for warm-up) will be around 30-32 km/h, then we’ll do some efforts at 40 km/h followed always with a designated re-grouping along the way, so we cater for the broad levels of male and female within intermediate.
It will be an organised training session, not a coaching session nor social café recovery spin, so come with a positive attitude towards improving your fitness in a fun and safe environment. We will cater for all levels of intermediate as highlighted by the pacing guide above, hence listening and following the instructions for the group is paramount to the success of the session, let me know if you have any questions.
