Virtual Run for seniors and juniors

As an appetizer to us all getting back to training together, for the next 3 weeks we will be holding online interval run sessions at the normal Wednesday night run time of 6:30pm. To get involved, and we hope many of you do, all you need is:

    • * To find a park or somewhere you can safely do some interval sets.
    • * Ensure you have Zoom on your mobile phone (if you’re running with your kids you can repeat the instructions to them)
    • * Ideally have a set of headphones you can run with.

At the beginning of the season, it is always a good idea to get into good habits, so we will start each session with a catch up and a stretch session provided by Lauren from Lifestyle Physiotherapy. The 2min pre-recorded stretch session can be found here and I recommend you familiarise yourself with it so you know the drill prior to starting. Our run Captain will then take us through the set over Zoom in your earbuds. We ask at this time you all mute your microphones!! At the completion of the set whilst doing some warm down stretches, we will have a Q&A with the host sponsor.

    • * Week one will be Lauren Atlee from Lifestyle Physiotherapy,
    • * Week two Ryan Quintano from Southern Sports Podiatry, and
    • * Week three Todd Ridge from The Running Company – The Shire.

So have your questions ready each week.

As we can currently have 5 people training together you might like to get a small group together at the same location and do the sets together.
